Alside Prodigy Review

I have installed Alside Prodigy siding on probably 10 homes in the past few years. It looks real nice, has a thick foam insulation and is relatively easy to install. I especially like that it is available in the longer panels – 16′ which reduces the number or seams by a lot.

Alside vs Mastic & Certainteed

In my opinion, Alside Prodigy is not as good a product as Alcoa Mastic or many of the Certainteed vinyl siding lines. They stand behind their product lines and make consistently good vinyl siding. Having said that. I wouldn’t touch CertainTeed windows (probably give the nod to Alside on that battle) — it’s not to say the Prodigy isn’t fine, just not my first pick. I’m not a fan of how it locks down, making it difficult to install below windows.
